Why do we focus on what others think about ourselves? In the world that we live in today, we wonder what everyone thinks about ourselves; why is that? Why do we focus on the power of others' opinions?
If I had to guess, I would say that at least 50% of the population feels peer pressured between what others have to say and society's standards.
The average person finds themselves categorized in a selection of comments and views, but why do we do this to ourselves?
What is the ending motivation behind falling behind our own beliefs of how others perceive us?
What makes us less than others? How can we fix this way of thinking? Those are good questions that we should all try to find the answers to.
Although 85% of people find themselves, positive thinkers, I cannot help but wonder about the 15% that is not counted for.
These are a few things one can do to promote positive thinking within our life.
- Read a book:
Some of the ones that I would recommend are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz.
- Promote the light of Positive affirmations within your daily routine
- Stop wondering how it would feel to be positive; instead, start by adding good energy to your life.
- Smile more
- Learn how to block the negative voice of others
- Be yourself because the world loves you for who you are
